Rod, uncommon
This flat iron rod has a button on one end. You can use an action to press the button, which causes the rod to become magically fixed in place for 15 seconds, the rod doesn't move, even if it is defying gravity. The rod, having been retrofitted from its previous model (the immovable rod) can only hold up to 50 pounds of weight. However, the rod begins to whir, the runes on each side aligning during the 15-second countdown; at the end of which the rod detonates the spell Fireball. Any creatures within 20 feet of the rod take 6d6 of damage. If enemies who were unknown to the rod's presence are damaged or hear the sound they will be put into combat with +2 to initiative.
