Posted Sep 6, 2018Why is this suit of armor rare? There are uncommon items that provide resistance as well as other things. It seems like this should be uncommon.

Posted Nov 5, 2018So I went through and double checked, the only uncommon item that doesn't require attunement and provides resistance is the potion of resistance. But that's only for 1 hour.

Posted May 16, 2021I'm right there with you. A single damage type resistance in 5e is basically worthless unless the DM chooses to make it useful. The majority of the damage types are almost not worth even thinking about.
