Ring, rare

A small, purple stone inlaid to a simple silver ring.  Looking closely at the jewel, you see a dancing of grey smoke, as if something is trapped inside.

This ring allows the wearer to infuse vengeful magic into any instrument they are holding and proficient in.  As an action, you can play your instrument as a form of attack.  On hit, roll a 1d6 for psychic damage.  The ring materialises the instruments music into psychic blades that change color to your liking.  The damage die increases at higher levels; 1d8 starting at Level 7, 1d10 starting at Level 10 and 1d12 at Level 14.  The ring also imbues the wearer with additional abilities, depending on the owner's strength;

Level 3: You no longer make noise when walking, and have advantage on stealth checks and attempts at hiding.

Level 5: You have developed a heightened sense of hearing.  Any monster hidden from you that tries to attack has disadvantage.

Level 7: Twice per long rest, you can cast the spell Shatter at Level 2.  This does not use a spell slot.

Level 10: Your sense of hearing has improved even further.  All creatures making an attack roll against you have disadvantage, and if they are hidden their location is revealed to you.

Level 14: You now recover your Shatter spell during a short or long rest, and cast it as a 4th level spell.

Level 20: You can now cast the Shatter spell the number of times equivalent to your Constitution modifier without using spell slots, and you cast it as a 6th level spell.
