You can choose to use your action to strike the mace against the ground, casting the Thunderwave spell at 1st level for the cost of one charge. The mace has 3 charges. The spell level increase by one per slot used. If the last slot is used, there is a 10% chance that the mace will detonate, casting thunderwave at 3rd level, destroying the mace and affecting everyone in range, including the wielder.
Proficiency with a Mace allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
