When an item is placed in this chest and a date or time is whispered into it, the items inside, once the lid is closed, are shunted to an inaccessible pocket dimension until the set time, when they reappear in the chest. Each chest has a set time limit, from a day to millenia. The greater the limit, the more rare and valuable the chest. Some chests have locks, some do not. The apparent build quality and value also vary from chest to chest, as does the size. If too many items appear in the chest, the top is burst open and the excess items spill out.
