Weapon (shotgun), artifact (requires attunement by a Artificer)

Wing Ripper is a 6 barrel shot gun. Inhabited by the soul/souls of the demon/demons Legion. The weapon is made of a multi metal alloy, giving it a black color. On the side of each barrel is an unreadable inscription. On the side of the handle, accessible with the thumb is a circular dial. Turning the dial selects the barrel, shooting the weapon moves the dial to the next option.

DORMANT

This weapon lays dormant for the user until a certain unknown condition is met. Each shot with the shot gun deals 3d6 fire damage.

+1 to attack and damage rolls.

Misfire. Whenever you make an attack roll with a firearm, and the dice roll is equal to or lower than the weapon’s Misfire score, the weapon misfires. The attack misses, and the weapon cannot be used again until you spend an action to try and repair it. To repair your firearm, you must make a successful Tinker’s Tools check (DC equal to 8 + misfire score). If your check fails, the weapon is broken and must be mended out of combat at a quarter of the cost of the firearm. Creatures who use a firearm without being proficient increase the weapon’s misfire score by 1.

Misfire Score=8(anyroll below 8 gives a Misfire score of 8)

Reload. The weapon can be fired a number of times equal to its Reload score before you must spend 1 attack or 1 action to reload. You must have one free hand to reload a firearm.

EXALTED

Once Wing Ripper becomes Exalted. Legion starts telepathically taking to the wielder. 3 alternating barrel inscriptions start glowing a deep red. Each shot from the weapon now deals 3d8 damage per hit.

Misfire score=5(any roll below a 5 gives a Misfire score of 5)

+2 to attack and damage rolls.

It’s up to you to decide whether a character has proficiency with a firearm. Characters in most D&D worlds wouldn’t have such proficiency. During their downtime, characters can use the training rules in the Player’s Handbook to acquire proficiency, assuming that they have enough ammunition to keep the weapons working while mastering their use.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.

Notes: Damage: Fire, Artificer, Creation, Range, Two-Handed, Ammunition (Firearms), Reload, Push
