A Cut down version of a sea Pike. Zip Pikes are rare weapons known from the underground syndicates during large scale turf wars in Faldana. These cutdown pikes were close and long range weapons as they attached to backpacks that carried metal line in them. These lines where made for many different types of use such as: Zip lines, ranged slashing attacks, and attacks that pulled people in for closer range engagements.
- The Zip pike has 4 different uses:
- Normal attack: The Zip pike can be used to pierce enemies for 1d8 Piercing Dmg
- Ranged attack: The Zip pike can be thrown 60-100ft, anything over 60 will be made using a strength modifier, anything after 100 will be thrown with disadvantage. When thrown the Zip pike pierces into enemies doing 1d8 Piercing Dmg, and as a bounce action can be reeled back in to get enemies closer to you. Enemies must be at least 15 ft. away for this attack to work. When enemies are Hooked they must make a con save or risk being launch towards the player. When the line is retracted they are lunched towards the player and land 5ft in front of them, during that time the player can choose to have the pike spring out out of the enemy doing 1d6 dmg, or keep the line in making so enemies cannot run away or attack any other players.
- Ranged attack: Players can turn the attack into a quick whip like attack up to 30 ft., doing 1d8 slashing damage.
- Movement ability: Players can turn the Zip pike into a zip line that can propel themselves in any direction as long as its within a certain amount of ft. (100). The tensile strength of this line is 300 pounds. This could be used as a zip line for other players but they also must weigh under 300 pounds and the player using the zip line will need to make a strength check to make sure they don't fall down or move during the zip line action.
A yklwa (pronounced YICK-ul-wah) is a simple melee weapon that is the traditional weapon of Chultan warriors. A yklwa consists of a 3-foot wooden shaft with a steel or stone blade up to 18 inches long. It costs 1 gp, and it deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. Although it has the thrown weapon property, the yklwa is not well balanced for throwing (range 10/30 ft.).
