This studded leather armor is made from the reflective hide of a deep-sea dwelling creature, named the Yegul. A Merfolk offshoot that is more bestial in nature. The Yegul do have one interesting characteristic though, their hides can store the radiant energy of the sun to use as an ambush tactic on unprepared prey. With a little magical influence from a skilled enchanter, this suit of light armor has been crafted to mimic that same tactic. When this armor is exposed to sunlight it will absorb some of the radiant energy to be used for a flash of energy to disorient any foe or dangerous creature... that relies on sight.
It has a dark greenish/blueish tint to it that is only visible when the armor itself is exposed to sunlight. All other times it appears as almost pitch black, like the abysses that the sea creature called its home.
While wearing this armor and attuned to it, you gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage and add +1 to your AC. Also, once per day you can use an action to cause the armor to emit a flash of bright light in a 30ft cone in front of you. Any creature in that area must make a CON SAVE DC 20. A creature that fails, is blinded until the end of your next turn. A creature that succeeds in unaffected.
After you have used the Flash feature, the armor must be recharged by being in direct sunlight for 10 minutes before it can be used again, even if another day passes.
This armor requires attunement.
Made from tough but flexible leather, studded leather is reinforced with close-set rivets or spikes.
Notes: Bonus: Armor Class, Resistance: Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing from Nonmagical Attacks, Blinded, Debuff, Combat, Warding
