Staff (quarterstaff), rare (requires attunement)

Depending upon the person who built the staff, this staff could be either ornate or simple, but they all share a standard formula and are one of the first major magical constructions a wizard undertakes.  Possession of a personal Wizard's Staff demonstrates that a Wizard has reached a level where they are no longer considered an apprentice.

The staff serves as a +1 Quarterstaff, an arcane focus, and provides +1 to Spell Attacks and Spell DCs.  In addition, it holds 10 charges that allow the casting of the following spells (1 charge each) Disguise Self, Magic Missle, Shield, and Unseen Servant.  The charges are recovered at dawn.

Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.

Notes: Bonus: Melee Weapon Attacks, Bonus: Melee Spell Attacks, Bonus: Ranged Spell Attacks, Bonus: Spell Save DC, Damage: Bludgeoning, Utility, Combat, evocation, Versatile, Topple
