A length of rope designed for the sole purpose of arresting the spirit after death. To condemn a spirit in such a way is akin to a hate-filled murder of an innocent and the creation of such must have the weaver conjure such malice and bind it. Evil creatures find it easy, the good do not.
The Rope can be utilized in two ways.
String Up: As an action, you may target a creature you can see within 30 feet. That creature must make a DC 18 Dexterity Saving throw. On a failed save, the creature is arrested in place, noose wrapping around itself and suspending it from the nearest ceiling or 20 feet in the air. Its movement speed reduced to 0 and any allies gain advantage on attacks against it. Once an attack made with advantage given in this way hits, the creature may make a DC 18 Constitution Saving Throw. On a success, the creature frees themself from noose and it falls to the ground within 5 feet of the creature.
A creature killed while under the effects of the Wrathwoven Noose is resurrected as a spirit under the person who last used it's control, even if already dead.
When utilized in this way, the rope has an AC of 18 and 20 Hitpoints, resistance to all damage except fire which it has vulnerability to. Reducing the rope's hitpoints to 0 does not destroy it unless it was fire damage used to destroy it. When not destroyed, the rope is thrown in a random direction 15 feet from the effected creature.
Gallows: The Wrathwoven Noose can be used as the material components of a Magic Circle spell. When utilized in this way, the spell gains the following additional effects.
- Any creature within the circle has their movement speed reduced to 0 as the noose wraps around their neck.
- The caster may choose a damage type for the creature effected by the circle to have vulnerability too until the spell ends or they are no longer under the effects of the spell.
- At the start of each of the effected creature's turns, they must make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or take 3d8 force damage. A creature killed in this way has it's spirit bound to the caster of the spell and becomes a spectre under their control, even if it was dead already.
