Wondrous Item, rare

An Ultra Pokéball is a devise used to capture a Pokémon that has been encountered in the wild. Once caught it lives within the ball until released.

Capture:

  • You throw the Pokéball at a Pokémon within 30 feet.
  • The ball hits the Pokémon and teleports it inside.
  • The light on the front blinks while the creature struggles, it doesn't stop till the Pokémon either gives up and is captured, or it resists and escapes.
  • To capture, you must have more health points than the Pokémon does at the time of use. You can roll 3D6 to add to whatever number your points are.

Release:

  • You can either hold the Pokéball in your hand, or throw it.
  • You call the Pokémon out and a split second later a bolt of energy shoots out and the Pokémon appears in front about 5 feet away.

Recall:

  • You can either hold the Pokéball in your hand, or throw it.
  • You call the Pokémon back and a split second later a bolt of energy shoots out and the Pokémon disappears back into its ball.

This ball must be charged at a Pokémon center before use again when a Pokémon escapes.

**Within the Pokéball the Pokémon exists in a comfortable environment. The environment depends on the needs of the Pokémon, but is comfortable and has something to keep them slightly entertained.

****The Pokéball can be transferred to the professor who gave you your starter Pokémon, for safe keeping.
