Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement by a 1 hour)

Made of a rare dark iron, this blade is pitch black. A brown leather wraps the hilt. The end of the handle has a ring with 5 feet of chain attached, and at the other end is a single manacle, to which the wielder connects his or her wrist. There is no crossguard to this weapon. Where the handle meets the blade is a perfect, open circle with copper wire looped through it. The blade extends to the tip, which bells outward, creating small spikes on either side. Faint, red runes run along the middle of the blade up to the end. The weapon is warm to the touch. Harmless smoke rises from it as if the blade is smoldering. The weapon was forged in the depths of Muspelheim by the god, Surtur, to be used in his everlasting conflict with Talos.

  • You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. When you take the attack action during your turn, you can make another melee attack using a bonus action.

You can use a bonus action to speak the weapons command word. When activated, the blade splits perfectly down the middle. Flame and shadow billow around the blade. The circle in the crossguard becomes a smoldering eye with a slit pupil. The weapon deals an extra 1d10 fire damage, and 1d10 necrotic damage, as it was intended to burn away the souls of enemies. This effect lasts for 1 hour or until you deactivate it.
