The staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff. This weapon is also a spellcasting focus. On a hit, it deals damage as a normal quarterstaff, and you can expend 1 charge to deal an extra 1d8 necrotic damage to the target. In addition, the staff can expend 1 charge to cast Cure Wounds up to level 4 expending a charge to increase the level.
Proficiency with a Quarterstaff allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
