Therren's war hammer has a long wrapped handle with a small spiked pommel on the bottom. The head of this perfectly balanced hammer is nearly hourglass shaped, with a thinner middle section that expands wider towards the ends meant to smash with. Burgeoning out from each end of the hammer head is the shape of a shield, upon which is a finely engraved sigil of Axeholm (a dwarven gauntlet holding an axe).
Upon completing the construction of the hammer, Therren's placed his soul into it, permanently sealing it inside. Therren's soul's presence grants magical protection to its user when it is used to lay enemies to rest or to resist some effects.
You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This magic item has charges equal to the user's PB - 1. Charges refresh daily at dawn. The magical properties of this weapon only apply to the wielder if they are attuned to it.
Soul Armor (cost 1 charge): If the wielder reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack, then the wielder can use their reaction to gain temporary hit points equal to half of the damage needed to kill the creature (rounded down, minimum 1). If the creature is a fiend or undead, you instead gain temporary hit points equal to the damage needed to kill the creature.
Soul Shield (cost 1 charge): As a reaction, the wielder may expend 1 charge of the hammer to grant themself (OR one other creature within 5 feet of the wielder) advantage on a Strength or Dexterity saving throw.
Proficiency with a Warhammer allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Push. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can push the creature up to 10 feet straight away from yourself if it is Large or smaller.
