Weapon (shortsword), uncommon (requires attunement by a You must wield and study the weapon for at least 2 hours.)

       An oddly shaped sword with hinges on the end of the blade. It's hilt is crafted from wooden tentacle-like bark that creeps up the blade, while the blade itself made from a lime green transparent material. When a user wields the weapon, the feel lighter on their feet, as if the sword itself is dragging them towards their wished target. When a user attunes to the weapon they learn that it's controllable through verbal commands. The sword may be wielded, but when given a keyword, it will begin to float upright and continue with the command outside of the user's grasp.

 Attacking and Movement
      Yatraavon's Weapon deals 1d6 (Necrotic) damage. When the user controls the blade with verbal commands as a bonus action, they may use 2 keywords to control the blade. The sword may not leave within a 50 foot radius of the user or it will fall to the ground.

  • Attack: The blade will lash out at a nearby creature that is within 5 feet of them. If there are multiple targets, roll for which creature the sword aims to hit.
  • Move: The sword may move up to 30 feet.
  • Return: Yatraavon's Weapon will jolt back to the user and safely position into the hands of them. If the user is holding something in both hands it will instead hover next to them.

Cursed
      When a user attacks a creature with the weapon through a verbal command and rolls a natural 1, the sword will shake violently, and drop itself to the floor after a few seconds. It may no longer be used through verbal commands and will deal 1d6 (Slashing) damage, acting as a regular shortsword until the next long rest.

Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
