Each token has a different effect. Each a buff, but all have conditional activations. Some also have nerfs.
STATUS EFFECTS FROM TOKENS:
-Bleeding: 1dmg per turn for 3 turns. Stacks.
-Enflamed: 2dmg per turn for 2 turns. Stacks.
-Poisoned: 1dmg on 2 round, each round increasing by 1 until it reaches 5 damage on the 6 round. Does not stack.
-Concealed: [mist] Every opponent attacking you has disadvantage. Effect is removed if you take damage.
-Resilient: When you should go unconscious, persist onto 1hp instead. Enemy takes 1dmg.
-Foresight: Should you succeed a dexterity saving throw, re roll. If you succeed again, you take no damage whatsoever, instead of reduced damage. Should you fail, you take full damage.
TOKENS
PURPLE SQUARE TOKEN – “True sight” – Damage a teammate to active true sight for 3 rounds of combat. Any amount of damage suffices.
PURPLE SQUARE TOKEN – “Ablaze” – Damage a teammate to set your weapon ablaze. [All hits you land will inflict the enemy with the ENFLAMED status effect] lasts for 5 rounds of combat.
ORANGE PENTAGONAL TOKEN – “Shielded glory” – Should an opponent miss an attack, they roll for damage anyway. A quarter of the damage rolled +1 is healed on the holder of this token. Only occurs once per enemy per combat
BLACK HEXAGONAL TOKEN – “Epitaph” – Whenever you roll a natural 20 [in any active campaign condition] gain a charge. Unleash any number of charges when you land an attack to add another d10+3 damage per charge. Every natural 1 roll removes a token. Gain 1 charge when you level up.
RED SQUARE TOKEN – “Relentless Assault” – When below 50% hp, you can inflict 1d4 damage upon yourself to add an extra d10+3 damage to the next attack you land.
RED CIRCULAR TOKEN – “Undying resilience” – If you are affected by any status effects, they are nullified and applied the opponent, and you are inflicted with the BLEEDING status effect until the effects on the opponent expire.
RED TRIANGULAR TOKEN – “Finite sacrifice” – Remove one of your limbs to instantly regain full HP. Whilst you have lost limb you are impermanently inflicted with the bleeding status effect [until combat ends] and you have disadvantage. Limbs cannot be regained through natural means. [Magic can restore]
[WHITE] RED PENTAGON TOKEN – “how dare you!” – When an attack would make render you unconcious, the token glows. Make a wisdom saving throw, and should it be above 10, the damage that you took will be tripled, and reflected upon the opponent. Should you fail, you die instanlty.
[WHITE] RED SQUARE TOKEN – “Going out in style” – When you die, make a wisdom saving throw. If it is above 10, you explode into flames, dealing 3d20 to each opponent in combat. They do not get to roll a dexterity saving throw. Additionally, they are inflicted with the ENFLAMED status effect. [2 damage per turn for 2 turns. Stacks.]
BLUE CIRCULAR TOKEN – “Head first” – When battling mounted, any hit you make will add an extra d8.
BLUE TRIANGULAR TOKEN – “I’m not done yet” – Once per combat, gain the resilience status effect. This token is consumed until you long rest. Short rest does not restore the token.
BLUE TRIANGULAR TOKEN – “Hefty swing” – Once per combat, when you hit an enemy, you may hit any additional enemies nearby in the same swing. You must re-roll the damage with an additional +2 for each enemy. The enemies must all be withing 5ft of the targeted enemy. This token is consumed until you long rest. Short rest does restore the token.
GREEN TRIANGULAR TOKEN – “Last Chance” – Whenever a person in your party should permanently die, this token replaces them in death. A sacrifice must be made for this. Blood for blood. The person is now revived, and the token is lost permanently.
GREEN PENTAGONAL TOKEN – “Lasting touch” – Whenever an enemy misses an attack on you, your next attack will inflict the POISON status effect. Does not stack.
YELLOW CIRCULAR TOKEN – “Lost Carcosa.” - The person who obtains this token is cursed. The character is doomed to die, and cannot be seen by those with true sight. They are dead in the eyes of all things not mortal. The King in yellow also inhabits their body. The King in yellow cannot manipulate them until they die, however the King can see and feel everything the host does. The host will be seen with yellow antlers and a yellow skull in all visions and prophecies from now on. As soon as the host dies, the body turns into a yellow skeleton with antlers, and the soul goes to Carcosa. Should the dead host defeat the king in yellow in Carcosa, they level up 3 times [override max level] and reinhabit their old body, that returns to its original form. Any artifacts gained from Carcosa are transported back.
