This +1 Tree Branch is told about in legends as old as time itself. It is said that only the chosen one can wield it. Luckily the identity of the chosen changes at the drop of a hat. The wielder of this weapon can use a bonus action to change the form of the branch into any single-bladed weapon. The weapon takes on all aspects of the chosen blade including reach, damage, and damage type. While in its transformed state the below effects are enabled with it, else attacks with the Tree Branch are made as if one was using a normal Quarterstaff.

The Fire Within: It takes a lot of energy for the Zephyr Blade to quickly change forms. This causes heat to build up on the edge of the blade. Successful attacks made while the Zephyr Blade is in its transformed state deals an additional +1d6 fire damage to the target.

Power Overwhelming: On a critical hit the heat on the blade will flare up and burn the area 5 ft. behind the target dealing 1d6 fire damage to anything in that area. Unfortunately the hilt briefly catches on fire as well causing the wielder to receive the same amount of fire damage.
