Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a By a person with connections to the Theater tragedy.)

A white mask speckled with blood from ages ago, it was used during the early stages of theater. The mask used to cover the wearer's whole face, though in a tragedy long forgotten the mask was split in two. Though that incident is long since passed, the trauma and grudge still reside within this cursed object.

Donning the mask will grant the wearer it's benefits, as well as expose them to its terrible curse. Putting the mask on and taking it off counts as a free action in combat.

An attuned creature wearing the mask can affect creatures without blood with their features and traits that require blood to use.

The mask has three charges. While an attuned creature wears the mask, when they down a creature with an attack or effect, they can expend a charge to regain hit points equal to a roll of that creature's hit dice. The mask regains all its charges on a long rest.

Curse

This item is cursed. Attuning to it curses you until you are targeted by a remove curse spell or similar magic. As long as you remain cursed, you cannot discard the mask, which immediately returns to your hand. After you expend a charge from the mask, you must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, you go into a blood frenzy, and must move to the closest creature and make an attack action on them on each of your turns. If there are multiple creatures at the same distance from you, the creature you attack is determined randomly. You cannot take off the mask while the blood frenzy is in effect. After you down a creature, you can make the saving throw again, ending the effect on a success.
