Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement)

A black-painted and disc-shaped token just larger than a gold piece, carved from ivory. Attuning to the wraithbone token causes it to vanish as it absorbs into your mind. The first time you attune to the token, it allows you to create four opaque black crystals in your hand, called memory shards, choosing from the following two options:

Daydream. A creature carrying a daydream shard can use its reaction to record the last minute of its memory within the shard. From then on, any creature carrying the shard can use its action to destroy it and instantly relive the memory through the original creature's senses.

Knowledge. Choose a friendly creature you have seen since your last long rest. You learn what skill proficiencies it has, if any, and choose one to imbue within the shard. When a creature carrying a knowledge shard makes an ability check that can make use of the imbued shard, it can destroy it to use the original creature's proficiency bonus and ability scores (at the time the shard was created) in place of its own.

Whenever you finish a long rest, you can create up to four new shards. If you create a new shard while four already exist, you must first choose an existing shard to destroy.

While it is absorbed into your mind, you can manifest the wraithbone token in your hand as a bonus action. It vanishes back into your mind if it is ever more than 60 feet away from you or if you dismiss it as a bonus action. If your attunement to the token breaks, it reappears in your hand.
