Weapon (longbow), uncommon (requires attunement by a by a fighter, ranger or druid)

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Thunderstorm: Additionally this bow is infused with charges equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all after a long rest. When taking the attack action, you may expend 1 charge to infuse your projectile with the primordial energy of the storm. On a hit this causes the arrow to explode forcing each creature within 5 feet of the target including the target to make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 thunder damage. The explosion creates a loud concussive blast which can be heard from 300feet away and destroys the arrow used.

On a critical hit, the arrow is automatically infused with the thunderstorm and is triggered without expending a charge, and it deals thunder damage instead of its usual piercing.

"It is said that these weapons were made by Giants, who discovered traces of raw magic in great trees that were felled by lightning during a storm."

Proficiency with a Longbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
