Weapon (pistol), very rare

Thunderstones were mined in the lands of Aeoris. They are very sensitive and on the slightest hit, they explode with a thunderous boom that can be heard from 1 mile. They were used to collapse tunnels for dwarves during mining. Wizards discovered that in a pistol they are an excellent alternative to gunpowder. A small hammer swings forward when the trigger is pulled and hits the stone, the blast of the stone propels the bullet forward. 

If a PC is not proficient with firearms they take -5 penalty to Attack Roll on a roll of a D20 and a PC rolls a 1 they make a DEX save (DC 15) and the gun misfires and blows up in the PC's face. taking 3d6 thunder damage on a fail and half on a success. On a successful hit, the target takes 1d10 damage. The gun makes a boom when fired. That can be heard from 1 mile away. After firing, it takes 1 round (6 sec) to reload and that is an action. The gun can be used next round.

Proficiency with a Pistol allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
