Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a Druid, fey or elven creature)

An ancient artefact forged by Rilifane herself during the Seldarine Wars, to aid in the fight against Lolth and her allies of destruction. The Orb of Requirement can become whatever the user needs in the moment, with a range of versatile options.

The forms its been known to take include a simple torch, a magical shield, a series of weapons and even legendary armour to protect the user. But this scratches only the surface of what this Orb can become.

When transformed into a shield, weapon or armour it is considered a +3 item.

As a weapon, it always deals 3 times the dice of the base weapon damage. For example, when transformed into a greatsword, it will deal 6d6 damage. Or as a longsword, it will either deal 3d8 or 3d10 depending on the way the creature wielding it swings the sword. The damage type is always force, no matter what form it takes.

As a shield, it will grant an aura of up to 10 ft. that also protects up to 4 allies.

As a set of armour, it will always act as if it is an adamantine set of armour, protecting the user from critical hits.

The orb can also become any item the user wishes. If the user wishes to turn the Orb into a magical item, then they must have either used that item before, or seen it be used. The Orb cannot be transformed into any legendary or artifact level items, however.
