Wondrous Item, varies

Description: This orb is made of an iridescent black crystal with a swirling galaxy-like pattern inside. It is warm to the touch and hums with power. When held, the user can feel their mind being opened to new possibilities and hidden knowledge.

Effect: When used for fortune telling, the user can roll a d20 and add their Wisdom modifier. The result determines the accuracy and insight of the fortune-telling. A roll of 1–5 means the fortune is completely wrong; a roll of 6–10 means the fortune is partially correct; a roll of 11–15 means the fortune is mostly correct; a roll of 16–19 means the fortune is very accurate; and a roll of 20 means the fortune is perfect and detailed.

However, there is a risk to using this orb. If the user rolls a natural 1, Yog-Sothoth's influence can twist the fortune-telling into a curse. The user must roll a d100 to determine the nature of the curse, which can range from minor inconveniences to severe misfortune.

Additionally, if the user rolls a natural 20, they will have a vision of a cosmic truth beyond mortal comprehension. They must roll a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15) or be stunned for 1d4 rounds due to the overwhelming revelation.

Usage: The orb can be used for fortune-telling by any character with proficiency in Wisdom (Insight) or Wisdom (Perception). It can also be used by warlocks or other characters with a connection to Yog-Sothoth as a focus for their spells or rituals.

Note: The DM may modify the effects of the orb depending on the campaign and the level of power they want to give to the players.
