Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement by a by any willing to pull the sword)

The Sword of Khaine, known more poetically as the Widowmaker, the GodslayerDoom of WorldsSpear of VengeanceDeathshardIcefang and 'Heavenblight, is a cursed magical sword that was said to be forged from a fragment of the greatest weapon ever crafted for the Elven war god Khaine by the smith god Vaul.

You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. In addition, the weapon ignores resistance to slashing damage.

When you attack a creature with this weapon and roll a 20 on the attack roll you are filled with the rage and strength of Khaine .The creature stuck by this weapon dies unless that creature has legendary actions, Such a creature instead takes an extra 6d12 fire damage from the hit.

Rage of Khaine. While you hold the weapon you can't be charmed, frightened or put to sleep or affected by any outside mental affect.

Chosen of the Bloody Handed: Once drawn this sword automatically attunes to its wielder. Once drawn only death can cause this item to be unattuned without the Divine Intervention of a good aligned deity. Once the blade is drawn the wielder must make an immediate DC10 Wisdom saving throw and on a fail the wielder's alignment is changed to Chaotic evil. If the wielder has not slain an enemy with this weapon the user must make a Wisdom saving throw DC10 or attack the closest living creature with the intent to kill, not stopping until it is killed or they themselves are rendered unconscious. For each day after the first where blood is not spilled the difficulty increased by 1 (this effect is cumulative until the wielder kills a living creature upon which the dc rests.)

Godslayer: this weapon ignores any resistances or immunities when it strikes its target. Additionally this sword deals 3d12 fire damage upon a hit.

Aura of Murder. When combat begins all creatures within 30ft are filled with the fury of the Lord of Murder. All living and/or creatures with sentience must take a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw at the start of their turn. If they fail the must attack the nearest living creature with the intent to kill and spill blood. If the save is passed the creature may act normally. This save must be repeated at the start of each creature's turn.

Sentience. Widowmaker is a sentient chaotic evil weapon with an Intelligence of 10, a Wisdom of 10, and a Charisma of 18. It has hearing and truesight out to a range of 120 feet. The weapon can speak, read, and understand Common, and the sword communicates by transmitting emotion to the creature carrying or wielding it.

Personality. The Sword of Khaine is the physical manifestation in the mortal of murder and violence. It seems to possess a malign intelligence, and constantly lusts for blood. The blade calls to warriors, whispering in their minds and urging them to draw it, promising endless power in exchange for bloodshed. To draw the Godslayer is to invite Khaine into your heart and soul. Filled with the murderous rage of Khaine, the sword drives its wielder to ever increasing heights of bloodlust. It takes an incredible strong will to resists the impulses of this blade and given time it will drive even those of the purest heart to slaughter. The blade has a corrupting influence not just on its wielder, but on all who are in close proximity to it. The malign forces emanating from the Widowmaker change personalities, replacing empathy with callousness, reason with hatred, and mercy with ruthlessness.
