This weapon has 3 charges. As a bonus action, you can speak the weapon’s command word and expand 1 charge. Until the start of your next turn, you know the hit points of each creature other than an undead or a construct within 10 feet of you. Whenever you sense a creature with 20 hit points or fewer in this way, you can use your reaction to make a melee attack against that creature. The attack deals an extra 3 (1d6) necrotic damage for each charge it has.
The weapon regains one expended charge for each hour you haven’t attacked a creature other than an undead or a construct with it.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
