An elegant, slender weapon with a blade made of a deep maroon-colored metal. The matte black hilt and hilt guard, although made with a beautiful, spiraling (almost elvish) flourish - sport wicked thorn-like spikes that make the blade somewhat dangerous to even wield.
When you attack a creature with this magic weapon and roll a 20 on the attack roll, that target takes an extra 10 necrotic damage if it isn't a construct or an undead. You also gain 10 temporary hit points.
Devour the Slain: Whenever you kill a creature that is neither a construct nor undead, you gain temporary HP equal to the amount of overkill damage done with Thirst Awakened. This effect lasts for an hour.
Bloody Blessing: You allow thirst to drink some of your vital life force in, granting you advantage for the next d4 turns, however, when this effect comes to an end, you suffer a point of exhaustion.
Curse: This weapon has a dark influnce about it. Those attuned to the weapon must stay attuned to the weapon untill a remove curse spell (or comperable countermeasure) is used to free the attuned person. While attuned to Avarace, a person's motivation becomes markedly more self-serving and any capacity for altruism is greatly deminished. If an atuned player would attempt a selfless act (such as using an action to heal an ally), the GM (at their discretion) may impose a DC 15 wisdom saving throw. If the player fails the throw, then they must instead take a course of action most immediately beneficial to them.
Proficiency with a Rapier allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Damage: Necrotic, Bonus: Temporary Hit Points, Bonus: Magic, proficency with Rapiers, Healing, Damage, Combat, Finesse, Vex
