You are carrying a sword that has a history going back far before the Cataclysm. According to family history, it was the weapon of a high-ranking Paladin who married a Celestial during or after the Third Dragon War (Roughly 1000 years ago). Nobody is sure whether the original progenitor was a man or woman, but their weapon lives on, passed down to their descendants over the centuries. The golden flame that always surrounded the blade disappeared abruptly when the gods withdrew after the Cataclysm. Many people lost faith in the gods, but your bloodline remained true to its patron god, Kiri-Jolith.
This two-handed sword is a remarkable weapon, forged of metals rumored to be from somewhere other than Krynn. It is elegant, perfectly balanced, and mercilessly sharp. The double-edged blade is silvery-gold, honed to a razor’s sharpness, and engraved on both sides with symbols for Kiri-Jolith, his parents Paladine and Mishakal, his twin brother Habbakuk, and his other brother Solinari. The cross-guard is a blue-grey alloy carved in the shape of a bison’s forehead and horns. The grip is cobalt blue leather that is impervious to cuts, scratches, or wear, and wrapped in golden wire. The pommel is in the shape of a bison’s hoof, made of the same alloy as the cross-guard. Engraved in the blade in Celestial runes is the family motto, "Never Without Cause", representing your family's pledge to only use force when there is a reason.
