Weapon (scimitar), rare (requires attunement)

These guantlets of leather, teeth, and claw, have been enchanted to fit the druidic magic of those who use wild shape. These claws do damage when wielded normally as a weapon, slashing and tearing at the enemy. When equipped, they do 2d6 damage, plus your Strength or Dexterity modifier.

However, when the wielder of these claws wild shape, that's when their true benefit shines through. When wild shaping with those claws equipped and attuned, they change shape with you so long as the creature you change shape to is Small, Medium, or Large.

  • When you change to a creature without claws as a natural weapon, you are able to use these as normal, so long as the beast you wild shape into has limbs that could be used for these purposes. A snake for example, doesn't have arms or legs, so these wild shape claws could not be used in that form.
  • When you change to a creature that already has claws as a natural weapon, rather than using the weapons damage, the Wild Shape Claws merge into the natural claws of the wild shape, boosting the damage done by the natural claws by an extra damage dice.
    • For example, when wild shaping to a Brown Bear, you would normally do 2d6+4 damage from the bear's claws. When the Wild Shape Claws are equipped and attuned, you would do 3d6+4 damage instead. A Sabre-Toothed Tiger normally does 2d6+5 slashing damage with their claws, using the Wild Shape Claws, you would do 3d6+5 slashing damage.

Proficiency with a Scimitar allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
