This token, when placed on an individual, immediately influences the individual to become hostile. The DM will roll 1D4 to see who the individual becomes hostile towards. Undead are unaffected by the tomes effect.

The one who places the tome must pass a sleight of hand check (DC 16) to successfully place it. Once it is placed the one who placed the tome must succeed an insight check (DC 15) to know how the the individual is effected. 

possible outcomes (1D4):

1- individual becomes hostile towards you and your companions

2- individual becomes hostile to only you

3- individual becomes hostile to the intended target only

4- individual becomes hostile towards the intended target and their companions
