The magical equivalent of a modern mundane 2-25X zoom, image stabilized refracting telescope. It is the same size and looks similar to a modern 3 inch refracting telescope. It is 18 inches long and 3.5 inches in outside diameter at the big end. It can be zoomed from magnification 2 to magnification 25. Image stabilized means that it must still be hand held or supported in some fashion (it doesn't hover) but it will magically steady when held and give a clear and steady image as if it were on a tripod.

It only works in the normal visual spectrum and does not extend the range of or in any way affect other types of vision, i.e. darkvision, truesight, blindsense, tremorsense, etc.

Notes: Human vision can recognize and reliably identify an individual at about 25 feet, so (for example) at 25 power this telescope would allow you to identify a person at 625 feet. The Wondrous Spyglass  comes with a sturdy wooden storage box that is padded inside to hold it securely.
