This coin can be passed off as being a fairly valuable coin. Roll CHA (Deception) to figure out how much you can convince someone of its worth:
NAT 1: The Vendor Knows its a con
2 - 4: “I’m not interested”
5 - 7: 1 Copper
8 - 10: 1 Silver
11 - 13: 1 Gold
14 - 16: 1 Platinum
17 - 19: 10 Platinum
NAT 20: “Name your price!”
A vendor can only be convinced of the coin’s value ONCE, all subsequent attempts are considered a NAT 1.
The owner of the coin can make a DEX (Sleight of Hand) Check (DC 10) within 15 ft. of the coin to call it back to their hand. If they can’t see the coin they roll with Disadvantage. the coin hops up and rolls towards them regardless of success or failure, but on a failure the vendor has a chance to see that they are being robbed.
“Five million gold minimum… I have a personal attachment to this piece… besides its magic doesn’t bond to you unless you steal it in the first place!… Don’t get any ideas mind you…”
