Yaka Whistling Bolt

The Yaka Whistling Bolt is an ancient artifact of a long forgotten folk. It was one of their most powerful weapon that could only be wielded by their leaders.

You can control the Yaka Whistling Bolt with your voice. By whistling, the Bolt becomes connected with your mind and follows your orders. You can command it to attack enemies within an area of 120 feet.

Normal Attack

A normal attack with the Yaka Whistling Bolt deals piercing damage equal to 1d8 plus your DEX modifier. The Bolt sticks inside the enemy. On a failed attack roll the Bolt rebounds from the enemy and hovers next to him.

Piercing Whistle Shot

You hum a special sound and the Bolt starts to glow in a dark red colour. Choose up to five creatures in range. On a successful attack roll the Bolt deals piercing damage equal to 1d8 plus your DEX modifier and fire damage equal to 1d4. The Bolt tears through the enemies body and goes on to the next. Make an attack roll for each enemy. The Bolt sticks to the last enemy you choose as a target, only dealing 1d8 plus your DEX modifier of piercing damage.

Call back

As a Bonus Action you can call back the Bolt out of your last targeted enemy. Leaving the wound the Bolt deals an additional d4 plus your DEX modifier piercing damage. The Bolt flies back to you and hovers above your shoulder.

Using your Extra Attack does not provoke your Bonus Action to pull out the Bolt out of your enemies body. The Bolt automatically flies to your next target but without dealing extra damage leaving the first body.

If you leave the Bolt sticking in an enemy, the enemy can use his reaction to attempt to break the Bolt. Therefore he has to pull it out of his body, suffering an additional d4 of piercing damage, and roll a strength check (DC equals 10 + DEX + CHA mod.). On a successful roll the Bolt breaks in half and can not be controlled by you anymore. If the enemy fails, the Bolt flies back to you hovering above your shoulder.

A broken Bolt can be repaired. Therefore you have to spend an hour on three consecutive days. Furthermore you need a small rod of lead worth 50 gp and a campfire.

Proficiency with a Dart allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
