Weapon (longsword), artifact (requires attunement)

The Bone Blade is a longsword forged in response to a looming prophecy of three great beasts with the potential to wreak havoc on the Material Plane. In order to kill any of these beasts, they must be slain using a weapon forged from the bone of a righteous mortal. The bone must come from a humanoid as light and good as the great beasts are hungry and chaotic. This particular weapon is named after the mortal whose bone this blade was forged from.

Great Beasts. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon equal to the number of Great Beasts slain with it (detailed below). While the sword is on your person, you also gain an equal bonus to your saving throws.

Lion's Luck. While you wield this sword, you can call on the luck of the Leonin Kamagash (no action required) to reroll an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw. You must use the second roll. You may use this property a number of times per day equal to its bonus. After you've expended all available charges, this property can't be used again until the next dawn.

Behemoth. When this beast rises from the earth, the ground rises up to take the shape of a hulking, armored reptile. Its steps trigger shock waves severe enough to level structures. It expresses its rage through trumpeting calls and the occasional boulder or blast of debris it spews from its cavernous maw.

  • After the Bone Blade “Kamagash” is used to slay a Behemoth, you deal double damage to objects and structures while wielding it.

Dragon. Rising from a lair of volcanic or geothermal activity, this beast spends as much of its time outside the mountain as in it once it rises. For this beast, the great heights of the world are the throne from which it can look out to survey all it controls—and the wider world it seeks to control.

  • After the Bone Blade “Kamagash” is used to slay a Dragon, you have advantage on saving throws to maintain concentration on spells while wielding it.

Leviathan. This is an immense creature that acts as a force of nature, dragging ships down to the ocean’s depths and washing away coastal settlements. When called forth from a large body of water, it takes on the form of a gigantic serpent.

  • After the Bone Blade “Kamagash” is used to slay a Leviathan, you can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing while wielding it.

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
