Weapon (crossbow, light), rare (requires attunement)

The Thornbind Crossbow is a unique weapon with a dark history. Crafted by wardens of an ancient order to maintain order and subdue unruly prisoners, it possesses a foreboding aura. The crossbow is ornately decorated with engravings of entwined vines and thorny tendrils, hinting at its ability to ensnare and immobilize those struck by its bolts.

As a bonus action, you can enchant a bolt with nature's essence, causing it to cast the spell Entangle on the victim upon impact. The victim must make a Strength saving throw (DC 14) or become restrained by magical vines for up to one minute. The vines can be removed with a successful Strength check (DC 14).

Proficiency with a Light Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
