Weapon (longsword), artifact

Spawn of the sentient greatsword Xaraxis, Xarax was claimed by Xyzor, the generational champion of the Kerym Gisir (Sword Guardian Aasimar). Xarax accompanies Xyzor in his adventures throughout the realm, and beyond, to gain experience of the world - with the ultimate goal of returning to Xaraxis to merge memories and experiences. Crafted from Radiant Felsteel, a unique material found only near the village of the Sword Guardians.

Current Stats (lvl 3):  12 CHR, 8 WIS, 8 INT

 

General things:

- Starts as normal Longsword

- Sword attracts Celestial and Fiend attention due to intolerance for the combination

- Cannot be sent away to pocket dimension, but CAN be Pact Weapon (other Pact Weapon effects?)

- Silver/Iron properties (for when that matters)

- Bonus Dmg vs Undead, Fiends, Celestials - 1d4

- Can understand and speak Celestial and Infernal

- Cast Light/Darkness (Prof Bonus times per long rest) - if sword is on person, can cast these using spell slots too - spell emanates from pommel of sword)

- Can scry back to home village - 1x day

- Home village can also scry through sword

- Appearance can alter for blade and aura, light/dark for either or both - at the will of user and/or sword

 

 

 

Level 3 - Soul-Bonded - (pros and cons for this)

- Sword begins to have full sentience/personality (name: Xarax)

- Must always be on person - or suffer exhaustion debuff

- Acts as holy symbol/spellcasting focus

- Sword can disguise itself to look like other things

- Cannot be wielded by anyone else - or they suffer DMG (rad and necrotic)

- Advantage against charm/fear - sword assists

- Advantage on rolls to break fear/charm - sword assists

- +1 Weapon

- History/Arcana/Religion check help (bonus or advantage - up to GM) Prof Bonus times per long rest (sword memory)

- Sword can force impetuous acts based on wanting to experience new things - CHR check vs Sword

- Stats: 12 CHR, 8 WIS, 8 INT

 

Level 4

Spell Storage - Can store up to 1 level of spells per long rest

+DMG - Radiant and/or Necrotic - 1d6 (choose dmg type)

Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.


This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.

Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
