Armor (shield), rare
While holding this shield, you gain +1 to AC.
In addition to this, when targeted by a melee or ranged attack, you can use your reaction to do one of the following:
- Shell Up: Gain an additional +1 to your AC until the start of your next turn.
- Blow-For-Blow: Make a melee attack against an enemy within 5ft. On a hit, deal 1d4+3 damage.
You must decide which, if any, of the above options you use your reaction for before hearing the result of the attack roll.
Shields require the Utilize action to Don or Doff. You gain the Armor Class benefit of a Shield only if you have training with it.
