Armor (plate), artifact

Description: The World Armor is a legendary set of enchanted armor that radiates a majestic aura. Crafted by ancient wizards using rare materials from different realms, this armor is designed to provide unparalleled protection to its wearer. The armor consists of interlocking plates made from a combination of celestial silver, dragon scales, and shards of elemental crystals. Intricate engravings depicting scenes from various landscapes and creatures of the world adorn the surface of the armor.

Abilities:

  1. Enhanced Protection: The World Armor offers exceptional defense, capable of deflecting blows from even the mightiest of weapons. It provides a +3 bonus to the wearer's Armor Class.
  2. Elemental Resistance: The armor grants resistance to elemental damage, reducing the effects of fire, cold, lightning, acid, and thunder attacks by half.
  3. Unity Embodiment: The World Armor enhances the wearer's connection to the world, granting them a deeper understanding of nature and the elements. This connection provides advantage on Wisdom (Nature) and Intelligence (Arcana) checks related to the natural world and the elemental planes.

Drawback:

  1. Burden of the World: Wearing the World Armor comes with a significant drawback known as the Burden of the World. The armor, being a testament to the vastness and diversity of the world, requires the wearer to carry the weight of the world upon their shoulders. This burden gradually increases over time and becomes more taxing on the wearer.

As the wearer spends longer periods donning the World Armor, they start experiencing physical and mental exhaustion. The burden begins to drain their energy, slowing their movements and hindering their decision-making abilities. After wearing the armor for 24 hours continuously, the wearer begins to suffer the following effects:

  • Movement Reduction: The wearer's movement speed is reduced by 10 feet.
  • Mental Strain: The wearer's Intelligence and Wisdom scores are reduced by 2.
  • Fatigue: The wearer gains one level of exhaustion.

The burden continues to increase the longer the armor is worn. For each additional 24-hour period, the movement reduction increases by 10 feet, the ability score reduction increases by 1, and the wearer gains an additional level of exhaustion.

To alleviate the burden, the wearer must remove the World Armor and rest for an equivalent duration. Once the wearer has rested for 24 hours, the armor can be worn again without incurring the drawbacks.

Plate consists of shaped, interlocking metal plates to cover the entire body. A suit of plate includes gauntlets, heavy leather boots, a visored helmet, and thick layers of padding underneath the armor. Buckles and straps distribute the weight over the body.

Notes: Exhaustion, Str. 15 Required, Stealth Disadvantage
