Weapon (greatsword), legendary (requires attunement)

You can use a bonus action to speak this magic sword's command word, causing icicles and freezing mist to form around the blade. When you hit with an attack using this magic sword, the target takes an extra 2d6 cold damage, and when you hit a creature with the attack action the creature must pass a DC 16 Dex save or be frozen in a block of ice becoming Petrified for 1 hour. When the creature is frozen another creature must break the ice to free the creature inside or must wait the hour for them to fully thaw, which then the creature must make a single death saving throw where if the creature fails the save, they die and if they pass, they survive with 1 hit point; when the creature is freed from the ice they must make a DC 15 Con save or act as if under the Slow spell per turn, until they pass the Con save,(the Ice Block has a stat block listed below). In addition, while you hold the sword, you have resistance to fire damage.

 Ice Block Stat Block

  • AC- 17
  • Hit points- 30
  • Vulnerabilities- Bludgeoning, Fire, Thunder
  •  Resistances- Slashing, Piercing
  •  Immunities- Cold, Poison, Necrotic, Psychic

Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
