Received from a Collector of vast magical trinkets and artifacts, the Thief's Tinkering tools create a master thief and expert escapist. The tools can allow the user access to items they normally would be unable to use, or, find a way to remove that access from others.

Intuitive Use: After being used for many years, the tools are tried and tested by a master thief. You may add an additional to any tinkering checks you make using these tools, using your proficiency bonus.

It's Mine Now: Upon finding a magical item that you are unable to use due to race, level, or class requirements, you may make a Tinker's Tools check to attempt to attune to that Item. The DC differs for the rarity of the item.

Common: 12 Uncommon: 14 Rare: 16 Very Rare: 18 Legendary and Above: 22 Immediate Use of Item: 25

Magical Disruption: While in combat, you may attempt to disrupt your opponent's magical gear. As an action, make a tinkering check opposed by your opponent's dexterity. Upon winning, the effects of the tools depend on the strength of your victory, and the item that you are disrupting.

0-5 - Minor Effect (-1 to hit and damage rolls, or -1 charge)

5-10 - Medium Effect (The item malfunctions, dealing damage to the user)

10-15 - Major Effect (Remove one of the item's abilities)

15 or More - Either magically disable the entire item for a time, or steal the item for yourself.
