A longsword blessed by the goddess of the sea, there is a constant smell of fresh ocean spray that follows it. When unsheathed the blade always seems to be wet with salt water, to the point where frost builds up on it in cold climates and steam billows off of it in hot climates. Although there are no gems or precious metals gliding this weapon, there are four beautiful sea shells that make up the cross guard protecting the user's hand, while an elegantly forged blade extends outward. The weapon is surprisingly light and nimble for its size allowing for dexterous movements that wouldn't be possible with blades of similar size.
- You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
- This weapon deals an additional 1d4 Acid damage on a successful hit. A creature that would be damaged by water is vulnerable to all damage delt by this weapon (holy water excluded).
- This weapon has the finesse property, allowing you to use your Dexterity modifier for hit and damage rolls.
- As long as you're attuned and the sword is unsheathed within 15 feet of you, you gain a swim speed of 20 feet.
- The item floats on water and other liquids. If submerged it will float in place until moved.
- If you're attuned and holding this weapon, you may use your action to rocket upwards. You and up to 3 other medium sized creatures, that hold onto the weapon or you, move straight upwards 60 feet a round until the sword reaches the surface or travels for 10 minutes, whichever comes first. This ability only works in open water, where the direct movement of the sword isn't obstructed such as in an underwater cave. Once activated, you can't stop this ability. The blade will continue moving upward until one of its two conditions are met. You can use this ability once per day, recharging daily at dawn.
Proficiency with a Longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Sap. If you hit a creature with this weapon, that creature has Disadvantage on its next attack roll before the start of your next turn.
