This staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it. While holding it, you gain a +2 bonus to spell attack rolls.
The staff has 20 charges for the following properties. The staff regains (1d12 + the wielder's Proficiency bonus) expended charges daily at dawn. If you expend the last charge, roll a d20. On a 1, the staff retains its +2 bonus to attack, spell attack and damage rolls but loses all other properties, while a kookaburra can be heard both laughing and crying from afar. On a 20, the staff regains 3d4 charges.
Strike With The Wind. When you hit with a melee attack using the staff, you can expend 1 charge to deal an extra 1d6 force damage to the target.
Spells. While holding this staff, you can use a a bonus action to summon up to 7 harmless birds. (pigeon, hummingbird, chicken, bluejay, duck, swan, parrot etc)
You can also use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to summon a bird of The Wildwings. The summoned bird follows your orders whether spoken aloud or willed mentally. The summoned creatures have varying capabilities as follows:
A Grey Hawk (1 charge)
This old hawk has seen better days. His plumage follows your directions and serves as either a pet, familiar or a scout. When this bird takes flight, you are able to see through its eyes as if they were your own. Since he is old and tired, he will only be able to maintain his flight for 3 minutes before needing to rest for the day.
The Tireless Owl (2 charges)
Plumage of white, brown and black is called to your shoulder. This Healthy Barn Owl can carry a message for you in either a small loop of leather tied to its leg or a glass bottle hung around its neck. Blessed with the winds of Vydi under its wings, This faithful courier will have your message delivered within the hour, regardless of how far a journey it must take.
Lock & Thorn (3 charges)
These twin raven siblings are always bickering over who is right and who is wrong. They are savagely intelligent and quick with wit and sarcasm. The Twins are capable of communicating in Common, Dwarvish, Elven and Undercommon, although seem to communicate with each other in a bended codex of all those languages combined. Provided you can stop them from arguing, they can be a great source of knowledge for whatever comes their master's way. (DC16 Persuasion/Deception or DC13 Animal Handing)
A Trio of War Falcons (3 charges)
Whether hunting to make up for a lack of supplies on the road, launching a distracting raid on a camp or assisting in an immediate battle. There isn't much these highly trained Wildwing Falcons can't deliver. To direct them and order them, you must use your reaction to issue your commands. They must be within 150ft of their master in order to be given directions by hand, whistle, shout or with the cantrip Message.
Four Flitting Finchs (5 charges)
These small finches flitter about rather hastily out of adoration for their master. With how fast they whip by, they give off a resemblance to red, orange, yellow and maroon flames chasing black powder. Although their size may not count for much, if willed to, they can harass two targets of their masters choosing. This grants disadvantage on all Wisdom and Dexterity saving throws. Should their master call out the command phrase "Fly high, O' little wings, scorch them, lo' all their things", up to four targets must make a dexterity saving throw of 14. The Finchs were hurl themselves into their targets as miniature balls of flame, able to reach a target 80 ft away and dealing 1d6 + proficiency bonus Fire damage for each failed save.
A Murder of Crows (4 charges)
Often considered an ill omen, this horde of black feathers can rush an area of 40 ft with countless bleaks and talons rushing in for a full minute. Inflicting any who enter the affected area. Any that enter into, pass through or remain in the affected area must pass a DC 15 Dexterity Saving throw to move on a success, but will be considered restrained and deafened on a fail. Any creature that has spent any portion of the round in the affected field will be inflicted with 1d4 piercing damage from the beaks and 1d6 slashing damage from the talons.
Eagles of Queltgaw (7 Charges)
A sharp cry marks the arrival of these giant avians. 3 Giant Eagles from Queltgaw have been summoned to your aid. In true fashion of the Wildwings, these eagles have already been saddled, and can carry one single rider. Lightly armoured, fiercely devoted and excellently trained, few will argue the efficiency of Queltgaws Sky Chariots. The riders will control their mount second only to their master's command.
Shabbas of The Weiss (No charge)
Only in certain circumstances can this staff attract the attention of one of the golden tricksters. With every summoning use of this staff, roll a d100. On a roll of 5 and under, your GM will report if and when he arrives, if at all.
Notes: Damage: Force, Bonus: Spell Attacks, Bonus: Magic, Sorcerer, Ranger or Druid, Summoning, Damage, Combat, Warding
