The Token of Alshafaq is a gold coin with engravings on both sides. The engravings on one side read "Tempus Fugit" and "Momento Vivere" with an illustration of a skull wreathed in a crown of flowers amongst a crown, sword, coin pouch, wine glass, and hourglass. On the other side, the engravings read "Mors Certa" and "Hora Incerta" with an illustration of a grim reaper.

The medallion has one charge per day for the spell True Resurrection. After casting the spell, the user must roll a D4 to assume the consequence of using the spell.

On a 1, the Token splits in half and can never be used again.

On a 2, the user takes damage in the amount of half their maximum hit points.

On a 3 or a 4, no negative consequences occur.
