Yaganagi's Gift appears as a gauntlet made of wood. The palm of the gauntlet contains a mysterious crystal that can be used as a druidic focus. The gauntlet can expand into a defensive umbrella shield, boosting your AC by 5 when used this way. Yaganagi's Gift may also take the form of a vorpal greatsword.
You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic vorpal sword. In addition, the weapon ignores resistance to slashing damage. When you use this weapon to attack a creature that has at least one head and roll a 20 on the attack roll, you cut off one of the creature’s heads. The creature dies if it can’t survive without the lost head. A creature is immune to this effect if it is immune to slashing damage, it doesn’t have or need a head, it has legendary actions, or the DM decides that the creature is too big for its head to be cut off with this weapon. Such a creature instead takes an extra 6d8 slashing damage from the hit.
While attuned to Yaganagi's Gift, you have proficiency with greatswords, and you can use your Charisma or Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier for attack and damage rolls made with the weapon. While attuned to the artifact through artifact affinity, you regain 1d6 hit points at the start of your turn if you have at least 1 hit point. However, you lose your sense of smell and Yaganagi's Gift amplifies your flaw.
Spells. The gauntlet has 6 charges. While attuned to it, you can use an action to expend 1 or more of its charges to cast one of the following spells (save DC 18) from it: Sunburst (2 charges,) or Earthquake (3 charges.)
Additional Wildshape. Expending 1 charge from the gauntlet, you may use the wild shape feature without expending your druidic wild shape uses. While in this special version of wild shape, you may cast spells. While using the gauntlet's wild shape, you can transform into beasts of CR equal to or lower than your druid level.
Sentience. Yaganagi's Gift is a sentient, chaotic good greatsword with an Intelligence of 12, a Wisdom of 14, and a Charisma of 18. It has hearing and darkvision out to a range of 120 feet. It can speak, read, and understand Common, and its voice sounds silvery and melodic. Yaganagi's Gift craves the protection of plants and nature.
Yaganagi's Gift has a fickle personality. It ends its attunement to you if you miss on attack rolls with the weapon three times in a row. Each time you finish a long rest after that happens, you can attempt to regain the sword’s trust by making a contested Charisma check against Yaganagi's Gift. If you win the contest, your attunement to the weapon is instantly restored. Your attunement to the weapon can’t be restored in any other way.
Destroying Yaganagi's Gift. To destroy the gauntlet, the wielder must succumb to evil or abandon their druidic ways, causing the wooden gauntlet to burst into flames and wither away.
Proficiency with a Greatsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Graze. If your attack roll with this weapon misses a creature, you can deal damage to that creature equal to the ability modifier you used to make the attack roll. This damage is the same type dealt by the weapon, and the damage can be increased only by increasing the ability modifier.
Notes: Bonus: Magic, Proficiency: Greatsword, Bonus: Magic Item Attack With Charisma, Bonus: Armor Class, Bonus: Magic Item Attack With Dexterity, Non-evil Druid, Heavy, Two-Handed, Graze
