Wondrous Item, uncommon
These milky white jellies (coated in a thin sugar casing) each have a pupil, which looks around, and which tends to fixate and stare at any movement it sees. Eating one of these jellies produces a random visual effect, determined by rolling on the following table:
D6:
- The consumer's vision becomes kaleidoscopic for 1 minute, heavily disorienting them and giving disadvantage to ability checks requiring sight and to attack roles, and also hampering their ability to move in a straight line, requiring a D8 to be rolled (with a direction assigned to each face of the die) to determine the direction of each 10 feet or more of continuous movement.
- The consumer gains X-ray vision for the next 10 minutes, allowing them to see into and through solid matter for 1 minute. This vision has a radius of 30 feet. To them, solid objects within that radius appear transparent and don't prevent light from passing through them. The vision can penetrate 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal, or up to 3 feet of wood or dirt. Thicker substances block the vision, as does a thin sheet of lead.
- The consumer sees themselves in the 3rd person for the next 5 minutes, viewing themselves from ~1 foot behind and above.
- The consumer gains a magical darkvision of 60 ft., allowing them to see through both mundane and magical darkness as if it were dim light. this effect lasts until the next dawn.
- The consumer becomes blinded for 1 minute.
- The consumer catches a maddening glimpse into the far realm, and must make a DC 15 WIS save vs. 4d6 psychic damage, taking half as much on a success. Afterwards, the consumer's eyes become charged with aberrant energy, which they can discharge in a 30 ft. beam, of which they get 1D4 uses. Any creature struck by the beam must make a DC 15 WIS saving throw vs. 4d6 psychic damage, taking half damage on a success.
