Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement by a divine spellcaster)

A green scale pattern zip-up hoodie made to be both stylish and effective protection. The forms can be progressed by performing blood sacrifices to the hoodie or whatever your DM may decide.

Base form:

  • Your AC equals 13 + dex while wearing the hoodie.
  • While wearing this hoodie you can cast eldrich blast. 

1st form:

  • You gain a +1 bonus to spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your spells.
  • While wearing this hoodie you can cast eldrich blast. When you do so, it has one warlock invocation upgrade (eldritch spear).
  • You may change the hoodie's color.
  • You may cast Shield once per long rest.

2nd form:

  • Your AC equals 13 + your spellcasting modifier while wearing the hoodie.
  • You gain a +3 bonus to spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your spells.
  • While wearing this hoodie you can cast eldrich blast. When you do so, it has two invocation upgrades (eldritch spear and agonizing blast).
  • You may change the hoodie's color and pattern of the scales.
  • You may cast Hypnotic Pattern once per long rest.

 

3rd form:

  • You gain a +3 bonus to spell attack rolls and the saving throw DCs of your spells.
  • You can use your Channel Divinity feature without expending one of the feature's uses. Once this property is used twice, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
  • While wearing this hoodie you can cast eldrich blast. When you do so, it has three warlock invocation upgrades (repelling blast, eldritch spear, and agonizing blast).
  • You may change the hoodie's color, design, and pattern of the scales.
  • As an action, you can pull a scale from the hoodie and speak a command word. When you do so, choose one of the following effects: 

    • Regenerate. The scale disappears, and you or a creature you touch regains 10d4 hit points. 

    • Scale Shield. For 1 hour or until you dismiss it (no action required), the scale becomes a +1 shield, which you or another creature can use. A creature wielding the shield has immunity to poison damage.

    • Once three scales have been pulled from the hoodie, no more scales can be removed until the next dawn, when all the missing scales grow back. If you pull off a scale but don’t speak a command word, it disappears after 1 minute.
