Wolf in Sheep's Clothing
Weapon (sword/club), legendary (requires attunement by killing 20 people)
Crafted in an era long forgotten, this deceiving weapon once belonged to a revered paladin who strayed from the path of righteousness. Its exterior exudes a radiant aura, with intricate carvings of holy symbols and motifs. However, hidden within its seemingly benign form lies a deadly secret that has brought an end to countless of the paladin's former brethren.
Club Form (Sheep):
- Damage: 2d8 bludgeoning + 1d6 radiant damage
- Properties: Versatile (1d10)
When you strike an enemy with the club form, you can channel the holy energies within, dealing additional radiant damage to those susceptible to the light.
[unlocked by attunement] Sword Form (Wolf):
Upon activating a concealed mechanism, two wicked sword blades spring forth along the club's sides, transforming the weapon into a double-bladed menace.
- Damage: 3d12 slashing + 1d6 necrotic damage
- Properties: Special, Two-Handed
Strikes from the blades sap the life force of its victims, inflicting necrotic damage. Those who face its edge feel the weight of the lives it has unjustly taken.
Transformation:
Transforming the weapon between its club and sword forms is a bonus action.
History:
Legends whisper of its creation, a result of the paladin's descent into madness. Anguished by his betrayal and the blood on his hands, the weapon is said to be both a testament to his former glory and a symbol of the darkness that consumed him.
Proficiency with a Club allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
