You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon. This item is marked by the blessing of Tyvore, the god of tyranny. When a creature is attacked with this weapon, discordant whispers enter its mind disorienting it. The target must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 2d4 psychic damage and is frightened of you for 1 minute. On a success, the creature takes half damage and is not frightened.
Curse. This sword is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you are unwilling to part with the sword, keeping it within reach at all times. Being separated from the sword grants disadvantage on all Charisma and Wisdom based checks.
In addition, while the sword is on your person, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw whenever you take damage in combat. On a failed save, you must attack the creature that damaged you until you drop to 0 hit points or it does, or until you can't reach the creature to make a melee attack against it.
Zealot's Spite also affects the following skills:
- advantage on all Deception checks.
- disadvantage on all Insight checks.
- advantage on Intimidation checks against non-human humanoids.
- disadvantage on Persuasion checks against humans.
Proficiency with a Shortsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Vex. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to the creature, you have Advantage on your next attack roll against that creature before the end of your next turn.
Notes: Damage: Psychic, Frightened, Finesse, Light, Vex
