Originally designed by Apollo Delvini, an artificer of high renown, the original sketches were stolen. Since, multiple attempts have been made to replicate the legendary device, and this is one. (For your sake let's hope it works.)
The device is constructed of wood, iron and cloth (much like what you might find in a ship's sail.) From the central backpack-like apparatus two straight wooden rods unfurl, beneath them each two more, and ran across these is the fabric. You find its fit uncomfortably loose, and question the quality of its construction.
While wearing this device you will experience difficulty walking (-5 ground speed) but if you're quick enough can glide from a high to a low altitude (+15 flying speed) not only increasing your mobility, but reducing fall damage if you can right yourself before landing (Dex Save 11.)
