A sinister-looking black bow with weblike patterns carved into the wood. The thin, yet strong, bowstring is almost invisible to anyone but the wielder is wowen together by four black and animated limbs made to look like spider legs.
It functions as a +1/+1 bow when not attuned
When attuned it retains the +1/+1 mods but grants charges and spells. Limited charges and spells. The Widow’s Spindle has 5 charges and regains 1d4+1 charges daily at dawn.
2 charges - As an action, you can pull the bowstring back empty, and a white arrow will form out of hardened web. You make a ranged attack towards a target. On a hit, the target becomes restrained.The restrained creature can try to free itself as an action with a DC 13 athletics or acrobatics check. If it misses or doesn't hit a creature, a 10 foot radius circle is affected as if by the web spell.
1 charge - you cast spider climb on yourself.
Proficiency with a Light Crossbow allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Slow. If you hit a creature with this weapon and deal damage to it, you can reduce its Speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn. If the creature is hit more than once by weapons that have this property, the Speed reduction doesn’t exceed 10 feet.
