A bardic instrument. This instrument is infused with the power of storms. It emits a loud, powerful sound when played. A creature that attempts to play the instrument without being attuned to it must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or take 1d4 psychic damage. In doing so, they become attuned.
This item counts both as an instrument, as well as a weapon. Once attuned, it is a finesse weapon that deals 1d8 slashing damage. On a critical attack while attuned, the following effects occur:
- All enemies in a 5ft cube around the target of the attack take 1d4 thunder DMG.
- Roll 1d12+2, adding your charisma modifier, and if that value is greater than the target's AC, the target takes 1d6 lightning damage, and you repeat this action on the nearest enemy who has not experienced it this turn, unless no enemy fits those criteria within 10 ft, or the check fails.
You may expend one charge to cast thunderwave as an action, which resets every rest.
Proficiency with a Battleaxe allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.
This weapon has the following mastery property. To use this property, you must have a feature that lets you use it.
Topple. If you hit a creature with this weapon, you can force the creature to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 plus the ability modifier used to make the attack roll and your Proficiency Bonus). On a failed save, the creature has the Prone condition.
